Advancing Treatment for Alzheimer Disease in Individuals with Down Syndrome

Purpose

This meeting focused on research in support of people with Down syndrome, a population likely to acquire Alzheimer's disease. The workshop brought together more than 40 leading scientists and representatives from academia, industry, federal agencies, and private foundations to explore how current research activities and resources could be developed to create new opportunities to develop therapeutics and a research agenda for facilitating the development of successful interventions.
